The program is designed to support women and transgender women. Therefore, participation is limited to individuals who meet these criteria.
The selection committee may, in its sole discretion, consider a variety of factors, in selecting program participants. These include, but are not limited to, the applicant’s academic performance, financial need, and the criteria described below.
Preference will be given to applicants who are interested in careers in agriculture, viticulture, animal sciences, earth sciences, agribusiness, and/or agricultural technology.
Preference will be given to those who are interested in working and living in Sonoma County.
Have a demonstrated commitment to community service, outstanding qualities in character, integrity and leadership
Be enrolled as a high school senior

Plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two- or four-year college or university or vocational-technical college in the United States for the entire 2020 – 2021 academic year
Have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent)
Students who are seniors at a high school or home school in the United States, Canada or Puerto Rico
Students who are applying as a full time freshman to a four-year accredited college or university that is located in the United States or Canada and is exempt from taxation under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code
Students who have a cumulative unweighted grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.3
Students who have a minimum ACT Composite score of 25 or a minimum combined SAT score of 1220
Students who demonstrate an active leadership role in community service, athletics, and/or similar co-curricular activity (such as student government, team sports, fraternal life, etc); and
Students who demonstrate substantial work experience and financial need
